You, being a seller can either sell your vehicle at a fixed price, fixed price + best offer or through an auction. So, how does this auction work?

Droom has sold a handful of vehicles through this auction process. When a seller selects auction as his/ her preferred selling format, an auction start price is assigned to the vehicle. The seller can also set a reservation value for his protection. After this is done, the listing goes on auction and the interested buyers can start to bid with minimum fixed incremental bid amount.

Once the bid starts, there can arise three scenarios.

1.       A bidder can be the highest bidder but if he/ she fails to meet the reservation value, the auction is cancelled.

2.       A bidder may have met the reservation value but, if he/ she isn’t the highest bidder, he/ she loses the auction.

3.       If a bidder meets both the criteria, that is, he/ she is the highest bidder and has also met the reservation value, then he/ she is the winner of the auction.

In the process of auction, a buyer can also commit to the selling price mentioned and this removes the listing from the auction and the committed buyer can buy the vehicle.
